First Surgery Recovery Day 55: 18mm open

Brief update. Tongue depressors and the OraStretch tool have helped my jaw open to 18mm. On Monday morning I was able to open my jaw 10mm. After the operation mentioned yesterday, I was open to 15mm by midday on Monday. And today I'm open to 18mm. This sounds like progress, and it is, but I won't know if this is all working out for sure until I see how things go over the next week. My surgeon's goal is for me to be open to 30mm by Tuesday the 11th. And if you're wondering, 50mm is around the normal jaw opening for an adult, though some people can open up to 60mm. I'll update on my progress tomorrow.
