Second Jaw Surgery Recovery Days 19-21

I'm sitting in a chair at my surgeon's office right now. It's been three weeks since my surgery. I don't know if I have mentioned this before but this surgeon (my second and last) is about 90 minutes from home. He came highly recommended by my first surgeon, so instead of going with the convenience of a nearby surgeon, I went for the more important thing: experience.

Ok now it's a few minutes later and the surgeon just saw me. He said my bite looks "marvelous" which is exciting. Next Thursday I will have my wires cut, so my jaw will finally be unlocked after four weeks. Then I will go to my orthodontist for rubber bands next Friday morning. And on May 21st I will get my splint out after six weeks. The big question is how long I'll need to be in rubber bands. Hopefully not too long. I'll post again soon. I'm going to have some soup now.
